| Kegging
- Forget about bottling. Beer on Tap
How about
beer on tap at home. No more bottling except for the
odd six pack as travelling supplies.
Kegging is
easy and relatively fool proof. You ferment your beer in the usual
way then put it in a keg. You don't have to add sugar after initial
fermentation to carbonate as CO2 Gas is used via a gas regulator.
Let it gas up and then drink away.
What do you need to start
- Fermenting
kit - Fermenter, air lock, hydrometer etc. (just like you'd
use if you were bottling)
- Kegging
kit, which is - gas regulator, beer & gas hoses, 2 x 19L
reconditioned postmix kegs, disconnects, clamps, beer tap and
instructions.
- Fridge
to keep Kegs in.
- Gas bottle
(rent or buy)
